Research: Interviews
We chose 4 girls who did not take part in our focus group and interviewed them about indie-rock music videos, asking them more open questions about settings, themes, characters and iconography that they associated with the genre. Luckily, their answers were very similar so we could gather their responses and use them to aid our ideas in pre-production.

Research: Focus Group
We played the following videos to 4 people (2 girls, 2 boys):
- The 1975 - Robbers
- Kodaline - High Hopes
- The Neighbourhood - Let It Go
- The Vaccines - If You Wanna
We handed out a small questionnaire for them to make notes during the screening of these videos. We asked the following questions:
1) What did you like/dislike about each video?
2) Which video was the easiest to follow? Why?
3) Is there any improvements you would make to any of the videos?
4) Which video did you think fit more with its music?
5) Do you prefer a performance or story?
6) Which type of narrative did you prefer; linear or non-linear? Why?
7) Which song did you like best?
After they filled out their questionnaires, we had a group discussion about the videos:

Research: Questionnaire
For our research, we put together two questionnaires for audiences to fill out in order to gather information on the demographics of our potential target audience, as well as finding out what their preferences are for an indie-rock music video, album cover and advertisement.
We ended up having a fault with the website we used for our questionnaire (freeonlinesurvey.com) as our trial ran out, and we lost all of our responses and were no longer able to collect and analyse the results. We overcame this by creating the same survey on a different website (surveymonkey.com) but we did not manage to meet the same amount of responses as our first one so we ended up having less results to work with. However, surveymonkey did give us the option to have the results analysed, and they summarised the results for us through charts and graphs. (click title to link to questionnaires)
